Support platform for care leavers
On 23 September 2026, the Bissaya Barreto Auditorium in Coimbra hosted the launch of Volume III of the book O que se passa na infância não fica na infância (What happens in childhood does not stay in childhood), edited by João Pedro Gaspar and Paulo Guerra.
This third volume brings together 153 testimonies from people across many sectors of society, and continues a national campaign to raise awareness of child maltreatment and fight it, which has already visited every district of mainland Portugal and both autonomous regions.
The session included contributions from former minister Ana Mendes Godinho and the writer Pedro Chagas Freitas.
