Support platform for care leavers
On completing its 1st year of existence, PAJE held its 1st Conference (I Jornadas), aimed mainly at professional staff in residential care homes; in its 2nd year, the event it organised was the 1st Meeting of Young Care Leavers; on completing its 3rd year, and continuing this theme, this year’s event will be aimed more at non-professional carers (although everyone will be welcome).
As this is an unprecedented initiative in Portugal, for the “1st Meeting of Residential Care Home Carers”, with the motto (We Are All Educators – The role and importance of the various jobs), we expect direct carers from care homes all over the country.
Helping to spread good practice and improve the “leaving profile” of young people in residential care, this event will take place at ISCAC – Coimbra Business School – with registration by email to geral@paje.pt at a cost of €10 per person (for groups of more than two people, the price will be €8 each).
The price includes lunch, the coffee break and participation in one workshop (you will need to choose which workshop you prefer and sign up, as registrations are limited to the number of places available); Certificate (to be sent by email within 10 days of the event). Lunch will be served at the venue where the Meeting takes place, and free parking is guaranteed for all participants.
