Support platform for care leavers
Under the protocol established between PAJE and APPBG – Associação Portuguesa de Professores de Biologia e Geologia (Portuguese Association of Biology and Geology Teachers), an initiative has been launched to provide some support to children and young people living in residential care homes (PVO – Professor Voluntário Online, Online Volunteer Teacher).
Teachers have volunteered in large numbers, and institutions need only let us know they are interested for these Volunteer Teachers to be able to help the boys and girls improve their learning.
Support can be given by telephone and/or email (in relatively simple cases), or in online sessions using live videoconferencing platforms (Zoom, Teams, Meet, …).
