1st International Congress on Children and Adolescents

The main aim of ICCA 2017 is to make an important contribution towards ensuring that the known gaps in the study of the social issues of childhood are recognised and addressed through a multidisciplinary approach, bringing together contributions from the various professional and scientific fields which, from different perspectives, seek to promote a healthier and happier childhood. The first International Congress on Children and Adolescents and 4th Annual Meeting of the Social Paediatrics Section of the Sociedade Portuguesa de Pediatria (Portuguese Society of Paediatrics) took place on 28 January 2017, an event conceived and organised with the aim of promoting an important dialogue on the social issues of childhood. The event was designed to be innovative, being less focused on the speakers and more open to the active participation of the audience. Above all, this choice seeks to bring knowledge and know-how together, which will surely amount to a unique opportunity both for researchers and for the professionals working in the various fields related to childhood.
